Company becomes Associate Member with Georgia Childcare Association
MEMPHIS, Tenn., July 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ATWEC Technologies, Inc. (OTC
Markets: ATWT), a US-based child safety company, continued its nationwide
child safety crusade by launching its Georgia Kidsafe™ program at a press
conference yesterday at a child day care center just south of Atlanta.
National Bus Sales & Leasing (NBSL) has teamed with ATWEC to promote child
safety throughout the state of Georgia. NBSL, one of the leading bus
distributors in the US, had representatives on hand to support improving child
safety awareness, and expressed an eagerness to begin the Kidsafe™ program.
Last week, ATWEC and NBSL signed a Letter of Intent for the distribution of
the patented Kiddie Voice™ alarm system that will now be equipped on NBSL
buses nationwide.
Georgia state representative Sandra Scott was also on hand to discuss the
merits of the program and to voice her staunch support for mandating child
warning alarms in order to protect children. Scott has introduced a bill that
would require all Georgia day care center vehicles to be equipped with
effective warning alarms, following similar legislation recently passed in
Louisiana, Arkansas, Wisconsin, and major counties in Florida. The state of
Georgia has more individual day care centers than any state in the US.
Also strengthening the Company's efforts is the announcement that ATWEC has
become an associate member with the Georgia Childcare Association (GCCA). Ms.
Carolyn Salvador, Executive Director of the GCCA, is excited about the ATWEC
associate membership. The GCCA is dedicated to enhancing and promoting the
quality of licensed private child care centers in Georgia by impacting
legislation, providing resources, educating the public and supporting its
members through training programs, advocacy and awareness, and networking
opportunities.
The news conference was held at the Rex Child Care and Early Learning Center
in Rex, Georgia, and was a smashing success, as ATWEC officials demonstrated
the effectiveness of the Kiddie Voice™ safety alarm on one of the center's day
care buses. Emotions were running high as Mr. Charles Green, father of
Jasmine Green, the young girl who died last summer after being abandoned on a
hot van, gave an impassioned plea to make sure this type of tragedy never
happens again.

driver and pedestrians to accidental child abandonment on child care vans and
