They might be trying to attract large investors, possibly with dividends and achieving credit ratings. Preferred, do not usually give voting rights. Detais could be in another 8-K. Imagine SSOL filing even another 8-K. Lolol.

Did SSOL Insiders buy the Pref shares before the Reverse Split occurred in order to maintain control?? We will find out with the next 10Q I suppose.
