I've never seen a stock halted for a corporate action before KZ. Do you mean your shares couldn't be sold? That would be correct. But you could buy more shares at the new PPS.

The only time I have seen trading halts is when a stock releases Big news (good or bad) during the trading day; like a message from the CEO or something that might have a sudden impact on the stock Price. Not PRs though.
