If the tech was real and viable they wouldn't have had to go with death spiral financing and they'd also have all the capital necessary to actually build an ASIC... clearly they have not convinced anyone they have anything....
They also wouldn't have turned down an open invitation to be introduced to the founder of National Semi and the former CFO of Paypal, and their $1B (cash in hand) VC that specializes in this area.
