Somehow, I knew you would find a way to justify it, mlsoft....
Yet every morning the "casino" opens and the bets are placed...
But not to worry, it is not for me to judge.... :)

Hi mlsoft,
I am definitely not a Bible person but I interpret the passage you have quoted there a little differently than something about investing. Remember that the passage is referring to a man who is traveling to a far country. That is who is being spoken to by the servants, not the Lord Jesus. The comparision IMO is in that if you take what the Lord Jesus has to offer and use it in a way that you have your beliefs grow and your faith prosper then you will reap a greater reward than the servant who takes his faith in God and hides it away and does not look for ways to share it and have it grow and prosper. It is more about sharing your wealth of knowledge and faith rather than about money IMHO. Just my opinion though.
Take Care mlsoft! :^)

mlsoft, I am curious.....

Does your wife do frostings, manicures, cosmetic dentistry, fashionable clothing, makeup, skin care, accessories?.. Or jewelry??... Because I'm sure there are Laws regarding these as well - vanity, pride, etc....

And as long as we're on the topic of SEX.... I hope you don't mind if I ask - do you engage in sexual activity at a time when such would be forbidden?... And do you ever eat cheese burgers??.....

I ask only because I am concerned about the deterioration of morality and righteousness in our country, and I would prefer to blame the "liberals". You understand??...

{Obviously the above is none of my damm business, but you get the point?...}

I too find nothing in Scripture that would forbid trading in stocks. If God has given us gifts and resources we serve Him best by putting those gifts and resources to good use. If we hoard (or hide) these gifts and/or resources then I believe we are not fulfilling His best for us. Some folks (like ZEEV!) obviously have a great talent for such endeavors. To not use these talents would be akin to an athlete or a musician or dancer never expressing their God given gifts.

When I used to compete in Track (Javelin) my personal motto was: His gift, my joy, His glory, our victory (or defeat! Lol!) In short, I felt I was honoring God by developing and using my God given "gifts" to the best of my ability. In my opinion someone who has the gift of buying and selling (anything legal) is no different. They have a God given gift - let them use it!
