I've seen many lawsuit between competitive rivals settle in court & then become very much affiliated, or one acquires the other by many means, most often on mutual terms. Even seen a 3rd party move into the vacuum created during litigation, work for a determination to end the issues, create a speculative air & then work in spooky terms. More often than not, the actual deal ISN'T a Court determined thing, but it is not outside the realm of possibilities...
Not sayin they are or aren't now one, but I know of even stranger things have happened, albeit in vastly different sectors. ^^^^^^^ Pure Speculation!
I wouldn't be even slightly surprised, though. I've seen many public rivals become the best of partners - secretly, and otherwise over the years. It is often benificial to let everybody & their kennel simply think what they want after such partnerships occur - even that they hate each other for whatever or whenever reasons.
There is simply no way to know what lies in the hearts of bidnessmen & especially, bidnesswimins...
