My apologies, I should have said "industry position" since I was thinking of our place vis-a-vis our competition in North America. It is my belief that if you achieve a strong position in North America, then Europe, Israel and the rest of the world is not a worry as you go after international opportunities.
Although, it IS worth thinking about the North American market. If you are used to thinking from a WSGI unmanned and untethered mindset, the FAA looks restrictive. But FAR Part 101 is very generous to tethered aerial vehicles, especially when compared to heavier than air MAV's. Another good reason to put a tether on an Argus by the way. Don't worry about altitude, you can see a lot from a few hundred feet with the right sensor package.
I actually have specialized knowledge on developing world use of LTAS. Unfortunately that is captive to my present employer who is not a WSGI competitor but also not a partner. So I can say this, your instincts are good and no one has broken that code yet. If my boss sent me overseas to sell LTAS on a commission basis, I would do it in a minute. Great instincts on international sales, Be Real! You have earned my respect!
