it's business as usual for MMs and others to buy into sharp rises and feeding frenzies because it's inevitable that those sharp risers will fall back quickly. monk's scheme as explained depended on shorts covering. that rarely happens because the shorters know to wait it out, and no shorter is going to cover when someone like monk is selling behind the scenes.

Um - how on earth would the transfer agent be able to prove air shares were sold? They only handle shares issued by the company.

If proof was "easily obtained" Byrne from Overstock wouldn't have had to litigate the issue.
