the premelt is still a huge upgrade and also increases throughput by reducing the residence time plastic has to stay in the main reactor. For example, if the plastic is already in liquid form when it reaches the reactor it won't take much time to vaporize. The idea that the premelt is useless or doesn't increase the advancement of the processor is ridiculous.

Doubles the feed rate. Improves the stability of the system, improves the control of the output product.


Indeed the back end was a limiting factor quite a while ago. If I recall correctly that statement was made back when the output was "near diesel".
