#901 RE: chisox pat #897

Chisox, a P/E ratio of 40 is conservative.

Let me ask you something. What's SIRI's P/E ratio? Oh yea, I forgot, SIRI has never made a profit, is experiencing heavy losses and they're at $7.

TASR's P/E ratio is now a conservative 40. It's at $7 as well. But, with the adjusted price for the stock splits, what was its P/E ratio? Hmmm, let me remember, it was 200.

Okay, let's look at some other stocks, what's GOOG's P/E ratio? 90.

EBAY's P/E ratio was as high as 90 six months ago.

I could be here all day listing stocks with P/E ratios over 80. Chisox Pat, welcome to the stock market. Lot's of well informed investors here. I understand that you're asking sincere questions and want to learn. This is a good place to start. There are some very experienced investors here. Don't feel down that you're new at this because we all were in your position one time in our investing career. If you need more help with P/E ratios or other financial calculations, I'm here to help.

Best wishes.
