Its really simple and its odd we are actually having this discussion
First of all levels of government agencies are starting to push towards forcing the use of abuse resistant products when they are equivalent to the the other options.
Secondly the reason is multi-fold
One to stop the general abuse of prescription pain meds
Two to stop people from trying the pills via intranasal use and then getting addicted
Three to stop accidental abuse or what I would call therapeutic abuse, people that need pain meds but crush and abuse them to relieve pain but also get high.
If you could have a choice between two products of equivelent benefit and one is abuse resistant and the other is not and extremely addictive.....which would you chose to benefit the public? Is it really that complicated?
