#37033 RE: plugger #37032

No problem, Plugger!

I also believe that God can work thru people to get His message across. We are an extension of Him and by His Holy Spirit we minister to those around us in time of need.

I have my own short comings and weaknesses that trip me up and I am thankful for my Christian Brothers and Sisters who support me thru those.

Do I leave things at the cross for Him and then take them back cuz I think I can handle them...I'd be a liar if I said I didn't.

At age 60 I'm still a work in process but thank goodness it has been completed by what He did on the cross for me/us.

Lord Jesus, use me today that I may look past my own needs and seek how I can make a difference in the folks that you have put in my path today...AMEN

Steve

"She radically threw off all her other supports (a practice I do not recommend) and decieded to trust in Christ alone to relieve her depression."

The part I do not understand why would this not be a recommend practice? Is this not saying "God I'll trust in you a little bit, but if you can't help me, then I will still have my other groups to help"? I find that I believe that God spoke this world into exsistance and everything else for Him to do is a walk in the park.

I don't know for sure because he didn't explain the reasons why for his statement.

Yet, I'll throw this out there.

Yes, I agree with you we need to rely totally on God but support groups which I really don't like the name..............I'd rather they be ACCOUNTABILITY groups.

Maybe that is what he was talking about?

We need to have other Godly people along side us who yes they support us but what I think is MUCH more important they are there in a LOVING way keeping us accountable.

I do appreciate you stirring the pot.

If the pot is left alone it boils over does it not?

Discussion is good and just like when someone comments on Bonnie Ricks devotionals I don't take it bad and I know Steve doesn't either with the ones he posts.

I'd much rather have discussion on here then just posts 24/7.

Posts are the starting point.

Yet, discussion helps us learn from each other observing different points of view which helps us in our walk with the GREAT I AM!
