Well OK I agree with you. However, the French politicians are reflecting the view of their people. Blair isn't. Saying that Blair is a strong chap because he agrees with GW may not help in the end when the populace aren't with it.

Obviously, if you would like to say the UK population is wrong, we'll have to invade France, cos GW and Tone say so.

Hey, Michael, France is just enjoying paying us back for not standing by it and the UK in 1956 when Bulganin puled from his hat a nuclear blackmail. Eisenhower told his allies, you cooked the soup (the Suez Canal invasion) you eat it...The French are just telling us to pull our own petards from the fire. Frankly, I think that Eisenhower made a colossal mistake, it led to France becoming an independent nuclear power and to Khruchtchev believing that we have no stomach for nuclear conflict and he tried to black mail us with the Cuban missiles... Eisenhower, by not calling Bulganin's bluff and support our allies, almost brought the world to the brink of nuclear holocaust four few years later...
