I think you’re on the right track. Moreover, I don’t find it counter-intuitive that a targeted drug could accelerate tumor growth (thereby shortening PFS) in certain patients who are especially susceptible to alternative growth pathways triggered by the targeted drug being administered.

That space is particularly confusing, with the possibility of agonism instead of antagonism and the inverse results seen by Aveo's rival compound.

I sometimes think we would learn a lot more with an intensive study of a few patients than we do with a traditional trial.
