Watford City - You and I talked about this town the other night when we saw the 2,400 unit apartment project the City planners recently decided they would embark on. *Watford City is one of the towns Annabelle targeted as a possible area of opportunity. The company hasn't mentioned any contacts they've had there with city planners as of yet and doubtful they do anytime soon since the Town has decided "man camps" were the way to go.

Personally I think Watford City will rue the day they decided to go this route as opposed to a nice single family - townhome - small commercial space family friendly neighborhood concept such as Annabelle Homes would design & propose for them.

Check out the apartment hell Watford City decided to go with!

Watford Citys' new 'man camp' will have all the charm of those Soviet built human bird cage Gulag's built during the cold war :O

IMO We can be proud of the product Annabelle & DYNV are proposing when they go to these various towns for a presentation.

The NDDOT map's here! The NDDOT map's here!

Actually, my package from the Tourism Division of North Dakota Department of Commerce arrived Thursday. I had it quickly laminated on Friday. Rather than using color-coded pins, I am using Post-it Flags to mark sites by status. Green represents sites developed or being developed for Annabelle Homes (Stanley and Tioga). Yellow is for used for known future sites. Blue represents high-probability towns, while red is used for "question mark" locations in which a proposal has been made but not accepted (Mandan and Killdeer).

The map also helps me visually think about logistics. Stanley and Tioga are about 30 miles apart along US 2. However, at some point developments may be as much as 135 miles apart.
