Zeev, tantal....Thanks for your answers and especially because they agree with my own. I still have some questions as to how the growing population wouldn't increase the weight though.

Gamma rays are just energy but do any atomic particles emitted from sun end up generating net Hydrogen or Helium. I know I am a pest sometimes.
