I agree. I've seen many times where a large but goes through and the price drops. I haven't been trading long but I do know that shouldn't happen. I have heard people say its getting worse than it use to be. Is anyone seeing that to?

"Episoccer7" - I don't know why people panic sell but they do and they ARE and you're right - the company has NOT done anything to cause anyone to panic sell but they do it anyway. You say no one is panic selling and then right after that you say that we see them panic selling and - once again - it's all the fault of those nasty ole market makers. Well - guess what - the market makers are just simply DOING THEIR JOBS!! The truth is that it's the fault of the PEOPLE WHO ARE PANIC SELLING that is causing the stock price of AAPT to go down but - hey - I really don't care anyway because while these people are all so busy panic selling - I'm just as busy panic buying. Sleep well anyway.

"Also what may get listed as a sell could in fact be a buy on the bid. MM's are known for listing buys/sells incorrectly. "

Absolutely happened to me yesterday. I got 100K at the bid price and it showed up RED in my Time&Sales chart. Up to now I believed RED meant someone SOLD. Now I have no reliable way to gauge whats going on :(

my guess is that nite is net long this stock, and looking to recover shares at a lower price. in the event AAPT takes Off, they could be long, and be fine. The deal, in my opinion there is tons of anonymity in the whole market. "Players" or traders in the market don't see the "real" market. IMO no one sees it. there are so many people that interact with stocks in general that can cause domino effects. One example. I know this guy that worked on a trading desk, and he would get orders from the margin department to liquidate an account if it has lost its capital to support positions, so what happens, pull up the account, and let it rip, a whole slew of market orders flying out the door. no look as to the volatility of the stock, nothing, sell 200,000 at the market, ect. you see the picture. and that causes wtf?? in traders heads, Why did bla bla just happen, maybe they know something ,,,lets get out, someone else calls their buddies and recommends the stock, blind buying goes on...I know a guy that had millions of shares of a penny, the thing after a year took off, and he was a big seller, he was the wall, after 3-4 days he was all sold out and the stock went up, funny how other ppl in the office did not know he was a seller and some of them were buying from his sales.....anyway, sorry for the Big story..i think i am going to bed now..
