I really appreciate the information and the time you took. Your DD is top notch. The doctor you spoke to really provided some really great information and seemed to have nothing but good things to say about the company.
I was familiar with the PR regarding the use of SNDY products at the NIH but obviously did not want to make any assumptions as to what capacity and to what extent their products were being utilized in their research. I admit, I took the PR at face value and did not think Solos products were currently playing that large of a role. Breast cancer research has and will continue to be focused on more efficient diagnosis and treatment in addition to the underlying genetic disposition of the disease. Solos would seem to be playing a future role.
The fact that Solos technology has been used at the NIH for 6-8 years is very telling information. I must say I am shocked to here this. In techological adoption, government research institutions are often one of the first to adopt cutting edge technology. I have mentioned before technological adoption in the medical device industry is often slow. You often see a "lag period" between the time of early adoptors and more widespread adoption (which is often exponential). The company touting future growth may be coinciding with the end of this lag period. We should begin to see an increased focus in sales and marketing by the company.
It is now very likely that SNDY products do have a competitive advantage in the marketplace in the form of top notch video imaging. The price factor compared to competitors products will allow them to rapidly gain market share both domestically and abroad. Think CE Mark certification, EU market, and a substantial cost advantage using Solos products (30K vs. 100K). They could increase prices 100% and still be more cost effective .
I couldn't agree more about your comment about PPS. It may be hard to accept but PPS is not important at this time. You are entering at the ground floor of a company with an extremely bright future.
Again Great DD. I look forward to any follow up information you are able to provide.
