I thought the same thing about that PR when I first read it, NIH probably had numerous companies vying for their business, SNDY may have been one of several selected. Turns out it was just them, although at that time I believe Acueity was either a partner of SNDY or selling key pieces independently. I didn't mention this, but I asked Dr. Danforth about Acueity, he said he thought they shared staff early on, but they've been out of business for several years and Solos now provides all components.
