It goes much deeper than that. Last year a group of us did a ton of digging and there were some obstacles that resulted in the deal being written as it was. Read the posts from Last June (plus or minus a month).

TADF obtained financing well before they put out the money to prepare a bid. True, this was obviously on their mind at the time, but the eventual deal they worked out was done for a variety of reasons. For instance, the split of 70/30 and the right to acquire up to 10% of TacAir. No deadline on that. It's just related to the Super-T.

I don't want to write a long involved post here, but I've pointed you in the right direction to do some more digging if you want to.

I can say though, that the recent news is great news for $TADF and for TacAir. Remember this is only the icebreaker, even if it's worth (only) a few million dollars). That's a guess on the amount. Nobody really knows how much money or for how long this first contract will produce.
