I don’t buy it. If you’re talking about “alternative routes,” then it’s technically not the same project. Obama sounds as though he is trying to have his cake and eat it too.

Technically not the same project? Like if I change the tires on my car then it's technically not the same car, or if I paint my house then it's technically not the same house?

I have to say that that might be the first illogical and with all due respect, silly thing that I've ever seen you write.

Huge changes have historically been made in virtually every major engineering/construction project known to man, from the Trans Alaska Pipeline System to the First Transcontinental Railroad to the Great Wall of China.

Let's build a well-planned, long-lasting, safe and efficient cake so we can all eat and enjoy it.

When the Department of Energy was created in 1977 under Carter the main reason was to reducde dependence on foreign oil. Today we import 70%. I don't know If I want our government solving our problems, lol. Looks like an Obama flip flop to me, seeing the outrage of high gas prices.
