That's very sad. I feel very sorry for you. Sadly, greedy people can feel little empathy for others and are so self-centered.
While my loss was an inheritance from my Aunt I can still appreciate all of the hard and honest work she did to achieve and save it.
I can understand why you would buy more Common Shares after bankruptcy to average down your price. I did that with my investments too when the market was crashing but the stocks I had chosen did not recover.
inesdefilia: Those commons are not dead yet. They might be down but still have a pulse. Once the new balance sheet somes out, the Math whizzes here will crank some numbers for ya. IMO, Assets should be pretty close to liabilities. It is not going to be lopsided...IMO NOLS shoould be included in the fiancials this tim e around....plus lawsuits on cases plus lawsuits on disputed claims plus asset appreciation (presumably MBS) and others plus NOLs....Not saying it will be easy but as long as you have a pulse you have a chance.....go figure..devil
