Chalmers' IMDB links to Black Knight, and the contact phone on Tom Cat's site is "+1-4-CHALMERS-0":
http://tomcatfilmsllc.com/contact-us

for clarity, I'm not doubting the credibility of Tom Cat, Chalmers, Buonocore.
i'm working to confirm Saint James Films is a legit entity, not a 2-day website borrowing their names and films to make a quick buck.

i emailed Tom Cat with the links.
will post what i hear from them.

Anyone can invest that can answer “yes” to the following question:

Are you one of the following?

1. A bank, insurance company, registered investment company, business development company, or small business investment company;

2. An employee benefit plan, within the meaning of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, if a bank, insurance company, or registered investment adviser makes the investment decisions, or if the plan has total assets in excess of $5 million;

3. A charitable organization, corporation, or partnership with assets exceeding $5 million;

4. A director, executive officer, or general partner of the company selling the securities;

5. A business in which all the equity owners are accredited investors;

6. A natural person who has individual net worth, or joint net worth with the person’s spouse, that exceeds $1 million at the time of the purchase;

7. A natural person with income exceeding $200,000 in each of the two most recent years or joint income with a spouse exceeding $300,000 for those years and a reasonable expectation of the same income level in the current year; or

8. A trust with assets in excess of $5 million, not formed to acquire the securities offered whose purchases a sophisticated person makes.

If the answer is no, then we thank you for your interest in our company. However, you do not fit the SEC requirements for an accredited investor. To learn more, please go to:

IS FILM INVESTMENT RISKY? | back to top

Motion picture investment entails a high degree of risk even when the picture is substantially packaged prior to financing. Recoupment of the investment and additional profits are largely a function of the film’s cost of production and distribution in relation to its public appeal. The extent to which the picture will appeal to the public is largely dependent upon unpredictable critical reviews and public taste.

The positive side is that there is potentially no limit to the amount of money a film can generate. However, if the film does poorly in sales and the Company is unable to secure enough distribution agreements, the Financial Partners will lose their entire investment and will have no opportunity to recoup their investment by investment in, or cross collaboration with any other projects. The General Partner is not liable for any monetary loss incurred by Limited Partners as a direct result of investment in Summer Hill Films.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? | back to top

A motion picture is a complicated product to create and utilizes a variety of personnel and processes. We estimate that it will take one year from the funding of each motion picture to complete and get the film into the market.

WHERE DO YOU MAKE THE MOVIES? | back to top

Our movies are produced generally in the production zone of Los Angeles, California. This enables us to hire the most talented and well trained actors and crew possible, while saving us money in travel expenses.

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT IS USED? | back to top

We shoot our films on High End High Definition Cameras to ensure the marketability and growing need worldwide for Hi-Def product.

I WANT A PRODUCER CREDIT, IS THAT POSSIBLE? | back to top

Yes. If you are an accredited investor and decide to become one of our partners, you will be afforded the credit of EXECUTIVE PRODUCER.

CAN I COME TO THE SET? | back to top

Yes, as a financial partner, you will be invited to the set by special arrangement. All expenses to visit the set would be your responsibility, and you would have to sign a waiver of liability.

CAN I PICK THE STORY? | back to top

Not really. We select the film ideas specifically to capitalize on the pulse of the market place for low budget independent films. We have created a “slate’ of films that can be found on the “Projects” page. We welcome your input and comments. This slate is subject to change.

I AM A FRUSTRATED ACTOR; CAN I APPEAR IN THE MOVIE? | back to top

Possibly, if you have enough talent to pass the approval of the director of the film AND you are one of our financial partners, it is possible to be cast in a role. However, we do not offer and kind of illegal pay-for-work scheme and the decision to cast you is solely up to the director of each project in the end. If you are not a financial partner and still want a role, we generally cast through tradition means, i.e. Backstage West and certain online sites like Craigslist.org. Please do not submit actor head shots or resumes through this website. They will be discarded. We hire professional casting personnel to handle all casting for each film.

I AM A WRITER, DO YOU ACCEPT UNSOLICITED SCREENPLAYS? | back to top

No, we do not accept unsolicited screenplays. We do not buy spec scripts. All of our projects are developed “in-house” with writers hired from various sources, connections and websites like www.inktip.com or www.craigslist.org.

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED? | back to top

Please send us an email through our contact form. Please tell us about yourself, your desire to get involved with the film business and what qualifies you as an accredited investor. Please make sure you leave a convenient way to contact you to discuss possible ways to work together.
