SNPK that can't be right. If you're logged into your account, then the quotes you get should be real time- there's no way in hell that so many people using etrade, are trading with 15 minute old quotes. you're not doing something, or looking in the right place.

The stock quote is in real time on the trade menu, just hit the refresh button to keep up. IT helps to watch L2

I believe there are real time agreements you must go through first for real time quotes on etrade or you will be stuck on a 15 delay. Really should be using L2, worth the investment. Etrade will give you free L2 if you make enough trades but does not work on mobile.

Re. MrNewbie. Type the ticker in at the top click go then click buy/sell and the little box to the right(click refresh) will give you realtime quote bid /ask Fri am I put in a limit buy @ .50 and and it excuted @ .485

I've had E-trade - and unless there is a huge buying or selling frenzy, most of the time I am filled within minutes...sometimes it's snapped up immediately. Not always though

E trade has no 15 min delay on buy sell orders. Like I said earlier Iput in a buy order @ limit .50 and it executed @.485 upon open etrade has been fair with me. Quick customer service too.
