Many people see it as double taxation when dividends are taxed after being taxed on the corporate level. You disagree. Hopefully my opinion will prevail and we won't be double taxed.
Elmer, the situation is more complex than arguing tax hikes on a case by case basis. Someone has to pay the bill at the end of the day. It's either going to be (A) you and your children if we have to raise taxes across the board, (B) your mother and father if the government has to end Medicare or Social Security, or (C) the fund manager.
Who would you rather pay the bill?
By the way, there is no choice (D): get the poor off of welfare and get them to pay their taxes. You could still choose to do this, but it wouldn't be enough to close the existing budget gap.
