JB, so you agree there is problem between humanity and God. For convenience, I would like to summarize the 4 premises and problem as follows:

I am guilty before God and deserve His just punishment. How can I escape the punishment?

Recall, the "escape" is what we commonly call "salvation" - it is the solution to the problem. So now that we understand and agree on the problem, we can evaluate different ways of salvation.

Do you have any suggested solutions? We can evaluate what your church teaches in light of the problem. We can also look at what various religions propose as the solution. We can look at SoxFan's "live a good life" solution. I also have a proposed solution which we can evaluate. We've been precise in defining the problem, so I think it's best to look at the possible solutions one at a time. It helps me keep things straight. It takes a while, but if this is humanity's basic problem, then getting the right solution is crucial and is worthy of some diligence.
