The Australian mining tax, which has been much discussed on this board is a relatively minor issue for CLF

i would add that the acquisition of consolodated thompson - which seemed pricey (to me at least) at the time - looks even better now that operating in australia has become more onerous (not just tax - labor shortage, etc.)

it makes the canada operations that much more attractive for a potential acquirer
