Can you enter the BIOS?

Press the F2 key to enter the computer's BIOS setup during the power-on self test process (while the eMachines logo is being displayed). See if there is a place to remove the hard drive password.

I figured out the password. Link back and you will see one of the screen shots gave a password Key XXXXXXXX. That 8 digit number corresponds to an 8 digit password that can be found here:

http://www.allservice.ro/acer/

Plug in the Key: XXXXXXXX and it will tell you your 8 digit password.

Now I just need to figure out how to disable the password protection. Anybody??
