Why would you take investment advice from someone who can't pony up the few cents a day required for private messaging capability?

Exactly! I've thought this many times, but you're the first person I've read who's expressed it. IMHO it's a very valid point.

(As a minor aside, I also have trouble understanding how you could invest a large sum of money on the advice of someone who can't spell, but perhaps that's just my bugaboo. :-))

since yesterday ihub shows me all kinds of unwanted ads. My subscriber status has not changed. Does anyone know about this and can the ads be turned off again?

Notwithstanding "Investment advice", I've only seen, ahem "dating" sites that charge a fee for private messaging.
