In my case I spent my 4 years station in a foreign Country to all Texan's call California. I was a draftsman. We worked on what was called the "Low Level Parachute System". That's where C130's come in about 15 feet off the ground and have there "payloads" pull out by Parachute. Saved a lot of lives over there. Real proud of our work back then.
PS: had to go to Edwards AFB a few times. Got to meet Chuck Yager (?sp) also meet Gary Powers the U2 pilot that got shot down back in the early 60's. That was a real treat.
