Kayaker,

Displayed on your profile page is a Grandfather's account,
meaning you have a Premium membership, and while others
of the FREE type may or not be able to People Mark, you can.

So, "[to] view a particular person's posts several times a day.
Unfortunately it's necessary to scroll down below the Profile
to see if there are any new posts." is a hard way when an easy way
using People Marks is available to you.

Also,

While i can acknowledge that
EMail Address:
Location:
Job/Title:
can be private personal information not for public viewing
and
Age:
for ladies is a sensitive issue
i am always sadden when the others are not filled in.

Now i admit this is very low on registered members,
and they take a "need to know" ego type trip with this,
my view is that unless a member does 100% Private postings,
that "to belong to" iHub as a family of communicating folks
has as first step to say "Hi" with basic info.

One could supply counter arguments to all i said and have
a very well ring of truth and logic attached, but if i was Matt
then i would require decent or funny or tongue-in-cheek replies
to these fields in a 2 week period after placing the first public
post on any board.

But then Matt might allow a "No Thanks" typed into any field
that would erase that line from a profile page viewing.

Or as you asked, Bob could make view this profile data be
an On/Off option selected by Premium Members in Settings.

Again, if i was Matt i would treat everyone's profile page like
them nasty pop up ads and until a member fills in all the fields,
including that "No Thanks" option being available, everytime
that member tries to post their profile page would pop up with
a Raspberries sound being made :o)

Kayaker:

I'm assuming you know that you can go to a person's profile and click 'Read last 50 messages'

That will take you directly to their most recent messages, no searching.

Also, if you have that person personmarked, it will keep track of their posts, where you left off, and if you click the 'number' next to their profile in your favorites, you just read the ones by that person you haven't already read...
