Do you know for certain that Art has left the room?
This deal, on its face does not look very good, I must agree. I also agree that potentially filing a motion in Judge Block's court would be beneficial.
Having said that, there is still time for even Art to file an appeal and/or objection. In the Debtor's filing about the "Stipulation/Settlement" they indicated that the LTW plaintiffs have already indicated their desire and willingness to pursue an objection. This was their reason for the actual settlement offered (as unsatisfactory as it is).
We have some time, and I think that we each need to evaluate the situation for ourselves and either (1) have patience and wait it out, or (2) cut our losses and move on.
I haven't been posting much because, as Bluzie said, I got completely "pantsed" on this one. I had the situation completely wrong, at least the part about the Judge's decision. I'm still convinced that the LTWs have been treated egregiously relative to the meritorious and all around incredible effort by Art and team.
I know that in life you can be completely correct and still be wrong... and I this certainly seems to be one of those cases.
I've been wrong before, but I for one would recommend patience for those who can stomach the coming few weeks... I think that there is more here than meets the eye. These LTWs can be tricky and have seen their fair share of huge wins and losses... this feels like 2008 all over again, and we rose from the ashes. I'm not saying that past is prologue, but I have some faith that things will work out alright in the end... however, my track record is somewhat tarnished on that part.
