The fact that many genes, proteins, etc., are common to most species proves nothing, being only an interesting fact

brainlessone talks about adding mutagens to speed up evolutionary process. He is quite right and you are not wrong but just head buried in sand regarding the process of evolution because your religious tradition requires it. For example, C elgans, a simple 600 cell nematode, a tiny worm, has has all the similar systems found in higher animals as well as a majority of genes and genetic material. When one selects traits such as motor ability, life span, shape etc they can be simply traced single gene mutations.

What amazes me the most is the fact that mitochondrial dna, a pool of genetic material totally separate from chromasomal dna, from yeast is so genetically similar to human mitochondrial dna. Mitrochondria is what powers the energy of every living cell.

Somehow you have to reconcile the need for both creationism based on faith in God as well as the unrelenting, overpowering theories of evolutionary processes as an explanation for the majority of diversity of life on the planet.

Your mixing up to much biochemistry and physics to try to prove your point of faith which never can be explained by invoking science. People of faith such as Mendel and Gaileo conducting scientific research not to disprove God but to try to explain the wonders of his creation.

Please explain as simply as possible your need for literal interpretation of the Bible vs it being a set of parables, stories, in order to guide our lives.

Where do you draw the lines In terms of medical science and new drug research, human stem cells research would be strictly taboo and a sin but doing same research on monkey stem cells is perfectly acceptable since you claim, no evolution ever exited no tampering with human life created by God.

ok we have thrown down the gauntlet:

"but there has never been a known, provable instance of a new species being created"
