My point was that they are still "bugs", not goats, nor dogs, nor eagles, nor some new alien species. That is not evolution. No one denies mutations occur, but there has never been a known, provable instance of a new species being created. Evolution is nothing but a theory, and one that is totally illogical and unsupported by credible evidence.
It is also interesting to note that virtually all true mutations are negative, not positive, for the species.
The fact that many genes, proteins, etc., are common to most species proves nothing, being only an interesting fact. You believe that they are evidence of evolution, but for the creationist it merely suggests the same creator made both. Neither argument is provable.

And there we have the requirement for faith rather than science, which shows exactly what evolution is - a religion based on faith. There is not one shred of scientific evidence that proves evolution - in my opinion, that is because it is neither science nor fact. It is both interesting and telling that all of the so called "missing links" have been proven to be hoaxes.
Neither of us will be able to change the other's mind on the subject, but I enjoy the discourse.
