It makes sense to me that he may have wiped out the remaining A/S, and needs the ability to print more shares to sell.
If the ability to show profits in the short term won't show up, no artificially induced increase in the pps means anything other than one heck of a possible short position.
The company may yet surprise everyone, and increase the ratio of the R/S.
