Nodak, do some more homework. Flaring is no longer an option. The gas must be produced. It's being phased-out now, but I think 2008 ends ALL flaring in Nigeria.
I would not be suprised to learn the the JDZ model PSC disallows flaring completely from day one.
There is an initiative to stop flaring in Nigeria. I do not know how it will affect the JDZ blocks, but I do know that there is gas capturing/processing/shipping infrastructure being planned and built. LNG.....coming to a Gulf coast port in the future...all of the new electricity plants and all the new houses being built are gas fired and heated. Its gotta come from somewhere.
