Seems to me the more laughable part of PerfectStorm's post is the conjecture that gold and platnum group metals cannot coexist in the same find. Pure nonsense. Perhaps in meturgical veins it is impossible to find both minerals in the same vein, but, we are dredging rivers. I.e. the material has been washed from the vein and deposited in the river. Seems to me you can find all kinds of minerals native to the region in the river.
