Well... that's all fine and dandy .. however, THEY are the ONES who have now ASKED that WE ... meet with them . We haven't answered yet

We started this discussion many posts ago with sanctions on Iran. I said it was all bluff. Then I posted a news release which indicated that there was a "waiver" contained in the sanctions allowing the President to waive the sanctions whenever he saw fit. My point was this: this is all smoke and mirrors and posturing, the sanctions are not going to be implemented because it would be far more detrimental to our allies than Iran.

However, Iran raised the stakes by saying it would shut the Strait of Hormuz if the sanctions restricted their oil. It's put up or shut up time. I think the US has put itself in a corner w/all these sanction talks. The more the US talks about sanctions, the more Iran gives us the finger. We are ending up looking like a paper tiger. Don't you think it's time to negotiate. I do.

also .. don't forget ..there are more incidents over the years that all play into this 'current' situation ...& MOST IMPORTANTLY .. now Iran wants to TALK ... so perhaps .. some GOOD has come out of this 'current' conflict ..my FINGERS are crossed... ;) and I hope yours are too .......; ) .. I HOPE for the best for ALL countries ...!

Oh btw, It's NOT all bluff .. The sanctions that are in place right now have HURT Iran ...

I mentioned earlier that inflation is sky high .. and for MY friend to say . .He is done with Iran now ... when his entire family has been over here for a long time, with him coming back and forth since he sold his businesses here ... and of course he has family there .. but he is now ready to say ADIOS ! ... to his at one time Beloved Country for GOOD..

He's only ONE man ... but I will find out more when he gets here in this month ... I repeat, in the rural parts of Iran they are happy with the religious dictatorship .. but NOT in the cities .. NOT in Tehran ... where MOST are educated .. ..
