Apparently Bruno had dis-assembled and removed certain parts of the unit before going to the welder in Quebec City to avoid any possible damage. The unit is supposed to be picked up today by Design 1st to put the unit back together and do an integrity check before sending it off to Robert for final wiring/whatever else. None of us really know the full inner workings of the unit so we can speculate all day on what should be completed and how fast, but at this point, all we can do is choose to trust or not trust the updates. Like I posted earlier, the good news was that Design 1st and Robert are confident enough that they already have the 3rd party testing lined up to happen shortly after the beta test. I suspect the beta testing will be short (probably confirm a few efficiency specs) and then off to the validation testing.

That's true, according to them they were supposed to have the unit back ages ago and even have numbers by now. If Design 1st only just got it we might not get numbers before Christmas... And one one hand yes it's true the unit might be very complicated and we don't know what they did etc but on the other they are the ones who specifically said both in the meeting and the PR that it would be done by now...
