One might have thought that way about Microsoft too. But the
firestorm against Microsoft was pretty surprising and it was
pretty much global. That Microsoft appeared arrogant in public
and in court didn't help their public image.

You've got to be kidding! This isn't the government taking Intel to court, it's AMD, in a civil action. And it's jugular time. There will be no "slap on the wrist".

I have two words for Intel investors: "Arthur Anderson".

The market doesn't seem to have picked up on the seriousness of the matter so far. Right now, Intel is an extremely risky stock with limited upside and a pathetic dividend (until they try to disburse the coffers -- but AMD will stop that). Anybody who is hanging on to those shares should realize that times have changed. T-bills don't look too bad, in comparison.
