My reaction to your questions....
Brian:Did anyone ask about the part that just arrived a week ago?
Wrinks:Not sure, just didn't seem relevant after seeing the unit, not to me anyway.
Brian:Is the design complete now or are they still tinkering with it?
Wrinks:Still working at it, going to submit to a manufacturer for their opinions I THINK. See how others interpreted that part, design work to be done for sure. Have to replace the pvc fittings with some metal tubing and any other suggestions a manufacturer may have. They also have to sell what they call a preproduction unit to a manufacturer yet. Not as in dollars and sense, I mean get them to get on board. They have not seen the unit yet. Robert and Andrew went to the big manufacturer to interview them on what the manufacturer can do for Wanderport, but not with the product to see what the manufacturer has to say.
Brian:Wouldn't pre-production imply they believe they have a marketable product?
Wrinks:Robert and Andrew would say yes, some of us attending would disagree.
Brian:If that's true, and they're saying they can start distributing without UL in other markets I wonder why Robert said a revenue stream is still a year away?
Wrinks:They believe they will be able to get started in a couple other markets before here at some point, cause of not needing UL. He did not say revenue would take a year. He said he would be disappointed if they didn't have revenue coming by end of 2012, may come sooner or later, no clue.
Brian:Sure wish I could have been there. So many questions!
Wrinks:Once I saw what they call a preproduction unit, I was deflated, certain questions were irrelevant at that point to me. Gonna take some time and patience for revenue to start coming in at some point down the road.
