I see the use for it. I like my water hot, my wife doesn't like hers that hot and for our baby she wants it very mild. Easy way to change it, with the APP.
Also for certain people, they want everything turned off when they go on vacation, turn it off with the app.
Locking it from tenants is a good feature too as I have had one who broke my water heater last year from messing with it too much.
