A highly innovative solution to the MNO dilemma. I would be skeptical as to whether a gigantic bureaucracy will be able to make a transition like this. What did it take to wake up the US auto industry? Many years and lots of pain. Whatever the case it seems like MNOs have an uphill, and ultimately futile battle with the looming technology onslaught.
I am reminded of ponyexpress which for many years was a primary mechanism of information delivery. The day that the telegraph system, a disruptive technolgy was completed, pony express was finished.
