Personally, I don't mind Microsoft's integration tactics, but they should not do so for free at the expense of their competitors

If they didn't do that then I'm not sure we would ever see a new feature for Windows

I think Intel Sells total platform solutions where as AMD sells a chip. Not really apples to apples..maybe in the whitebox market. The place where Intel really competes apples to apples with AMD is flash and they are Intel is winning there and again changing the game to platform solutions.

Intel does ref board designs, chipset supply, help with software solutions, compilers, box specs, integrated chip designs, marketing help, always has supply...ect ect.
