Your assumption would only work IF the interested parties had no idea whatsoever about what's involved. Problem is, they are ALL people who in the business up to their necks! They ALL know the seismic, they al know that billions are to be made, THAT'S WHY THEY APPLIED TO GET THE AWARDS IN THE FIRST PLACE.

They are negotiating a PSC. Indeed. That has NOTHING to do with "inflating the value of the property." And that has nothing to do with all involved cos releasing PRs saying they have indeed ACCEPTED THEIR AWARDS.

And as to how the ERHE PR office treats shareholders, it has been simply inexcusable. I just read a bunch of posts, and it is clear that just today, SOME SHAREHOLDERS WERE FLAT OUT LIED TO, as BB noticed as well.

Sorry oilman...

057, wake up call... Everyone knows about the "gold". That's why the land was for sale put up for sale. The bid round is closed and everyone knows who's paying what. No secrets there...

The JDA is not going to negotiate the terms of the PSC's, that's already been done by Exxon and Chevron, remember??? These are cookie-cutter templates, just changing the names of the players, right? They are not going to change the price we have to pay. There's really no need for secrecy here, as for as I can tell.

No one said they had to tell the world anything secret. But to get what we got today? They are clearly just doing as little as they can to meet the filing rules. Makes me think JC hates this company. I don't like pumping either, but how about a little guidance?

As to your analogy, why would ERHC repeatly publish the seismic reports and reserves estimates BEFORE bidding for the land, then try to hide that later? I am sorry, but I don't get your point.

How about the company telling us their expectations on when things might develop? How about a quote from Memon, or better yet from Memon and Offor telling shareholders how pleased they are with the success of the round? How about telling us when we can expect to learn any details about our JV's? How about telling us about plans for financing the company's future?

I can be patient, but being patient in silence is tough. There's a huge difference between pumping and sharing a little excitement/information when your company just made official the greatest accomplishment in its history.

oil - I think you're missing the point. No one expects ERHE to give out details on deals in progress.

What some of us are asking for is respect, courtesy, recognition that shareholders are part owners of the company (and shouldn't be looked at as pains in the ass), and a little effort to communicate with the shareholders.

For instance, today's PR could have included what awards the company was accepting. i.e percents in each block. No skin off anyone's ass and no confidential info leaked. Unless someone knew what the company was talking about, today's PR was jibberous.

A general update on the website once a month or so. A Doctor Feelgood thing establishing a rapport with shareholders.
Again, no inside poop.

You know what I'm talking about.
