Benz, I don't disagree with you on many things, but I have to disagree with you on the need to keep up the pressure on terrorists where ever they may be. There have been many many more deaths than the 3000 killed at the World Trade Center. These people have been killing people all over the world just because they don't agree with the way people live. They have been attacking us for 30 years, not just on 9/11. They are like a cancer and need to be cut out and destroyed. Their particular breed of hatred and aims of world domination should not be ignored. We make excuses and blame ourselves.
Our PC attitudes and thoughts that the spread of Islam could never take hold and harm us is naive. Look only to Europe to see what has happened there. Within 30 years the Europeans will be the minorities and the Muslims and Islam will dominate Europe. How long do you think it will take for the same or similar pressures to effect us?
Canada is a breeding ground for Muslims and they are giving in to Sharia in part now. We need to wake up, even peaceful Muslims are trying to warn us. Radical Wahadi Muslims will never quit trying to kill us. Trying to make us out to be the bad guys is just plain wrong. I say use as many drones as possible and take out as many leaders as possible. And, if some of them are converted American citizens then that's ok too, They gave up their rights as citizens when they took up the cause against their own country as far as I am concerned.
In past wars if someone worked for the enemey we considered them spys or traitors, and they were subject to be shot on sight. That is the way it has been since the beginning of history, I see no reason to change that now.
Having the strongest and best equipped military has helped prevent us from having to fight another major war and has probably saved millions of lives. Without the U.S. Military the world would be and would have been a much more dangerous place. I hate the fact that we have had to be the worlds policemen, but that responnsibilty comes with being the World's Superpower. There are many in this country that have not wanted us to be the only real Superpower and have done everything in their power to give away all our national security secrets and weapons designs to insure others could compete. I say they should be branded traitors and jailed or hanged. jmho
