Do you really think these funds would have invested 75million if they did not know if NCE status was up in the air in addition to taking on clinical risk?? it is just unfathomable...Keep in mind marine and anchor are not the only 2 trials...they have done several trials before on AMR101 for CNS.
see if u can google on terms "senator" "lobby" "FDA" "Amarin" I have read a web page where it said before they did SPA on these 2 trials, they ensured with FDA that AMR101 will be treated as NCE
the patent issue is also manageable based on their recent meeting with examiner...
competition risk with omega-3 seems bigger. but competition that i have seen all have DHA. so if the theory that LDL increase is caused due to DHA is true, then nothing to worry.
