Energy 1 Corporation was originally incorporated as Northwest Horizon Corporation and then became Dairy Fresh Farms through a reverse merger. They changed to Energy 1 Corporation around 2009.
I suspect that Vortex IP acquired Energy 1 Corporation through a reverse merger to go public since its a little cheaper to acquire a shell of a corporation to go public than to take a private corporation public. I haven't seen anything to substantiate that but they did it through Broyhill and they specialized in reverse mergers. The reason I believe there isn't much to substantiate that is I believe the current heads of EGOC are trying to distance themselves as far away from certain previously distrustful and illegal activities of the previous heads of this corporation. I think they got more than they bargained for in that reverse merger and did their best to distance themselves and the company from it.
That's where Sunspotter ties in the mafiosis to this. What I saw from my research is that Amyot and Morrice milked Dairy Fresh Farms and Energy 1 Corporation for all they could until they got completely out and Steiger and Brown got complete control somewhere around the end quarter of 2010. The quiet period was due to Steiger and Brown trying to sort all that out, get their product finalized and ready to market.
