Wanderport Files a Third Patent for Its Microwave Energy Tank-less Water Heater

NEW YORK, May 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Wanderport Corp. (OTC Markets-PINKSHEETS: WDRP) today announced the filing of an additional patent application characterized by its unique new heat exchanger integrating an exclusive safety mechanism offering improved performance efficiency.
Unmanaged microwave energy can cause unseen danger. This patent application is a result of engineering a progressive safety feature to manage the introduction of the products new technology which involves high voltages in the range of 4 kilovolts and concentrated radio frequency energy. The exclusive safety mechanism provides an additional preventive measure in the case of a units faulty operation and improves efficiency by providing a feedback loop to the controller, thus permitting the correct amount of energy to be applied to the heat exchanger at any given time. The patent application in no way hinders or delays work toward a multi-cavity on-demand/point of use microwave heating unit (MCMHU) currently in development.
An excerpt from the patent filing is shown as follows: The object of the invention is to provide for a safe and controlled operating environment for a volume of water within the heating unit and to provide the correct amount of radio frequency energy to interact with said volume of water in order to maximize efficiency without any mechanical sensing means which could pose a potential risk. It provides contactless and isolated radio frequency energy level detection. The present efficiency invention determines the presence and/or volume of liquids present in a heat exchange chamber. In particular, it relates to the detection of this presence and provides the means to control the amount of radio frequency energy, notably an energy source consisting of microwaves presented to the chamber, interrupting or throttling as required, for the purpose of heating liquids such as water and intended to achieve peak efficiency.
Shifting rapidly from development to a marketable product, this new patent not only incorporates an exclusive method to guaranty the highest safety standards for consumers but is also considered fundamental to assemble an energy efficient and outstanding product. The existing safety standards for electric water heaters are well documented and established. The challenge by our new microwave technology will likely be to necessitate the re-visiting or addition to existing safety guidelines that would be associated to this new product category, commented Robert Simoneau, Wanderports Technical Advisor and Product Licensor.
