Rick,

I have a fiberglas canoe to fix/patch that a tree fell on.

It fell on the gunnel and crushed part of the rub rail and a basketball sized spot on the gunnel.

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

IOW, to lay in glass mat it will have to be backed up with something. What would I use as a release agent to get the backing material off? And how many layers should I use?

I've been putting off this project for awhile now, but it's time to get it out of the yard.
